Raise More Funds through Powerful Community Connections

Every non-profit wants to raise more money. This session will help Executive Directors and other non-profit leaders understand how to do that through creative marketing, building a strong network of willing advocates and strengthening and expanding donor relationships.

You will leave this half-day workshop with practical tips and tools that will take your organization to the next level in terms of financial resources and community connections. Among the key takeaways:

  • Understanding how to succinctly articulate your value to your community in ways that are relevant to those who can support your mission
  • Marketing your organization through no-cost or low-cost means
  • Connecting with power players who will want to help you succeed
  • Getting your board excited about doing more
  • Knowing how to apply scarce resources to raise the most money

 About the Instructor

This half-day workshop will be taught by Maryann LaCroix Lindberg, CFRE, President of the Philanthropy Resource Group, a non-profit consulting firm that provides support to non-profit organizations throughout New England.  She brings to the non-profit world more than 40 years of experience in fundraising, non-profit and board management and consulting, marketing and public relations, strategic planning, financial investment and community relations.  Prior to returning to consulting, she was VP for Advancement at Keene State College, having also worked at institutions that range from small non-profits to large institutions such as Penn State and has raised more than $100 Million over the course of her career.  She has also worked with more than 80 non-profit boards, assisting with strategic planning, board excellence and resource development.

Having received a B. A. from Bucknell University and an M. B. A. from Penn State University, Maryann is also a Leadership NH alumna, Class of 2011, and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. She is a past board chair of the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce, is Chair-Elect of both the NH & VT Council of Charitable Gift Planners and the Northern New England chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a frequent presenter both regionally and nationally.  More information about Maryann and the Philanthropy Resource Group is available on their website, www.philanthropyresource.org.
