NPO Series: Putting the Fun Back Into Fundraising

Oct 3, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

Start-up and Small Non-Profits:  How to Stand Tall When you are Quite Small
Smaller and new non-profits share a few common challenges:  how to build a great board that adds value, how to raise gifts, how to get the community to be aware of you so they invest in your mission and how to build strong partnerships that help you leverage other community resources. This mini-series of three, 2-hour sessions will provide executive directors and board members with a wealth of information, tips and tools to address these questions.
Putting the Fun Back into Fundraising
This session will provide participants with a broad understanding of what real fundraising is all about, as well as guidance for how to begin building a strong base of philanthropic funding.  Among the topics covered:

All areas of fundraising, from annual fund to events and planned giving
Who actually gives away money and why
Building systems and policies that support raising gifts
Volunteers: what their role is and how to capitalize on their networks
Where to start when you have no staff and busy volunteers

* We’ll only hold the workshops if eight or more people are registered.
Presented by Maryann LaCroix Lindberg, CFRE and President of the Philanthropy Resource Group, each session will be interactive and packed with lots of information for you to use right away.  Maryann has worked with more than 80 non-profits over the course of her career, and is known for her practical and engaging presentation.
