NPO Series: It Really is Who You Know: Engaging Powerful Partners
Oct 18, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Start-up and Small Non-Profits: How to Stand Tall When you are Quite Small
Smaller and new non-profits share a few common challenges: how to build a great board that adds value, how to raise gifts, how to get the community to be aware of you so they invest in your mission and how to build strong partnerships that help you leverage other community resources. This mini-series of three, 2-hour sessions will provide executive directors and board members with a wealth of information, tips and tools to address these questions.
It Really is Who You Know: Engaging Powerful Partners
This session will help organization leaders to identify the best way to articulate their impact in the community and understand how to leverage that to build community partnerships, attract dynamic and connected board members and market their organization to the right people. Included in this session are:
Identifying what your organization’s relevance is to the community and learning how best to articulate it (including developing your “elevator speech”)
Building your network of supporters and potential leaders
Creating a marketing plan that requires few resources
Developing partnerships with others in the community who will enable you to achieve more than you could on your own
* We’ll only hold the workshops if eight or more people are registered.
Presented by Maryann LaCroix Lindberg, CFRE and President of the Philanthropy Resource Group, each session will be interactive and packed with lots of information for you to use right away. Maryann has worked with more than 80 non-profits over the course of her career, and is known for her practical and engaging presentation.
