Non-Violent Communication Principles and Negotiation

Non-Violent Communication principals can be used in any situation where there is another person involved, including negotiations, employee concerns, stressors and conflicts at work, etc. Nonviolent Communication turns conflict into connection by recognizing and addressing the implicit, unmet feelings and needs that underlie conflict.
Participants in this workshop will be able to:
-Listen empathically to encourage safe and happy workplace environments
-Receive “hard to hear” statements without taking it personally
-Learn to make requests (not hidden demands)
-Build a positive approach to negations, where you reach outcomes that satisfy all
The first week we will learn the basic premises of NVC-Compassionate Communication. In week two we will develop the ability to negotiate effectively. It is a skill that can be easily developed by understanding the process involved. The two – two hour workshops are broken down to offer you experiences of NVC, inter-personal and intra-personal connection and conflict resolution as well as self-empathy so that you can apply these skills immediately to your day to day work life.
About the Instructor
Robin White is a Facilitator, board-certified (BCC) Health/Wellness and Life Coach and Psychosynthesis Counselor, and an Employee Assistance Counselor for Thrive LLC. She is also an adjunct teacher for The Synthesis Coaching Program at Hallelujah Farm in Chesterfield, NH in conjunction with The Synthesis Center in Amherst, MA.
