Microsoft Excel 101: Data Visualization

Join us for the third of three sessions on Microsoft Excel, one of the most useful and powerful tools available to business owners and professionals.
In this workshop, we’ll cover data visualization methods and tools in Excel, including:
Graph types
Bar, pie, histogram, line, scatter plot
Choosing the right graph
Regression
Optional graphic parameters
How to get out of Excel
Conditional formatting
Sparklines
These sessions are designed to help business owners, nonprofit leaders, and professionals seeking development opportunities. Attendees should be comfortable in Excel and need more information on how to collect, analyze, and work with data.
Where possible, attendees should bring a laptop with Excel installed to follow along. We will not have time to troubleshoot computer issues or version differences during this session.

About the Instructor
Jake Nonweiler, Program Director at the Hannah Grimes Center, will be the instructor for the series. Jake is a self-described Excel nerd and loves helping people learn and navigate his favorite business tool. Jake has taken classes on statistics and analytics, and has worked with many businesses on the magical mystery that is Excel. When he’s not entering formulas into cells, Jake is brainstorming where to find a coffee.
