The strategies that you have developed for managing the talent in your organization – the boomers and the Gen Xers – are much less effective with millennials. They are a different breed of cat. While they may bring challenges, understanding out how to manage them effectively is not rocket science and it is SO worth the effort. When well engaged, millennials are enormously capable and versatile and can add energy and capability to your business. If you don’t appeal to their strengths, millennials will avoid your company, flounder if they get there, and leave before they have made the kind of contribution you need to grow your business.
