Artists2Artists: Fiscal Sponsorship

On Wednesday, January 27th from 4-5:30pm, Arts Alive!, in partnership with the Hannah Grimes Center, will host a workshop on the practice of fiscal sponsorship for artists and start-up arts organizations.
Participants will learn the basics of what Fiscal Sponsorship is, how it works, what standard industry practices are, and why an artist might take advantage of this business model. Fiscal sponsorship allows an artist or organized group to have a close financial relationship an established nonprofit in order to apply for and receive grant funding that is typically reserved for nonprofits.
This event will be held at The Hannah Grimes Center, in Downtown Keene, New Hampshire.
Presenting this workshop is Jessica Gelter, Executive Director of Arts Alive! and Shanta Lee, President of Windham County Arts Council. Both women are also working artists.
