Artist to Artist: Writing an Artist Statement with Rosie Bernardi
May 31, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
About this Workshop
The workshop will review the how and why of developing an ArtistStatement, which is used when presenting work at exhibitions and galleries, in applications for grants, residencies, graduate schools; and while speaking about artistic work in interviews.
Participants will leave with a rough draft of their own artist statement in hand, along with a worksheet on how to develop it further.
Rosemarie is currently Professor of Art and Chair of the Art Department at Keene State College where she teaches drawing and printmaking. She has previously held tenured positions at the University of Arizona (where she was the coordinator of the Graduate and Undergrad Printmaking Program), and the University of Delaware.
