Artist to Artist at MAXT: Developing Your Product

Sep 15, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

About this Workshop
How do you transform your talent and ideas into successful products? This interactive talk will cover the steps, from identifying customer needs, to prototyping and design, to product launch. Wink will pull from his extensive experience in helping local small businesses launch their products to provide the best practices you need to know before developing your own products.  The hour long talk will be followed by a Q&A and networking time.

About the Instructor
Wink Faulkner was born and raised in the Monadnock Region, returning to raise his own family. After 16 years at Markem Corporation, Wink founded and co-owned the North American sales and service offices of Logopak Corp., the highly respected German manufacturer of industrial packaging equipment. He took Logopak from an unknown brand in North America to being the respected quality leader in the market. He has a proven record of implementing systems that improve profit and reduce costs. As a coach for Advicoach, he brings his many years of experience and expertise with business development, marketing and business analysis to the business owners of NH and beyond.

About This Series
Arts Alive!, the Hannah Grimes Center, and MAxT Makerspace are teaming up to do an enhanced Artist to Artist series at MAxT in Peterborough. The series will include: project management, networked marketing, micro financing, copyright and patenting 101, strategic planning, and cooperatives. The series will culminate in a business plan competition, with winners receiving memberships to Arts Alive! and MAxT Makerspace.
Each workshop will be held on a Thursday evening at 5pm at the Monadnock Art X Tech makerspace in Peterborough. The program will last 45-60 minutes, then the facilitator will open up the floor to questions from the audience. After the formal Q&A participants and presenters are welcome to network in the space until 7pm.
Each workshop aims to provide creative people with the tools and tips to start up their own small maker-business – from art to craft to manufacturing.
Who should come?
This series is for small and start-up creative businesses including artists, craftspeople, and goods manufacturers. We welcome others, but are primarily focused on individuals and businesses who produce creative goods and would like to develop the income they are making from their work.
This program is supported by NH Charitable Foundation and C&S Wholesale Grocers.
