About this Workshop
Tax season is upon us and filing a schedule C is no easy task, but there can be other tax implications for artists. This will be a discussion of the unique issues involved for persons whose estate includes works created by the person’s literary or artistic efforts. The discussion will focus on both the practical and more complex issues for estates of all sizes. The discussion will also include the basics of copyright law.Drew Landry, of John G. Burk and Associates, will share insights and wisdom from a long career working as a tax consultant with individuals and creatives across the region. Drew will make sure artists & authors know what bases need to get covered.
