$2,500 Small Business COVID Grant Program for New Hampshire Small Businesses

To help small businesses throughout the Monadnock Region adapt to the economic realities of COVID and prepare themselves to grow and thrive in the post-pandemic economy, the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship is offering $2,500 one-time grants for up to 50 small businesses in the Monadnock Region(**If you live outside of the Monadnock Region see below for other Service Providers**)

Hannah Grimes’ Small Business COVID Grant Program* helps provide hope, resiliency, and an injection of much-needed capital for our small businesses and our community during these unprecedented times.

Allowable Uses of Grant Funds
Qualifying businesses may use the Small Business COVID Grant funds for an expense or a need that has developed as a result of the pandemic. Funds will be used in covering costs “to prepare to, respond to, or recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,” including:

  • Working Capital
  • Equipment Purchases
  • Operating Expenses

Grant Eligibility
This program is for micro-enterprise businesses (Fewer than 5 full-time employees) that are low-to-moderate-income. Federal grant guidelines require that businesses be eligible based on the household income of the business owner(s). Eligibility is quite broad and is based on the size of your household, so don’t assume that you do not qualify!

Next Steps to Determine Initial Eligibility

STEP #1
If you are in the Monadnock Region, Please fill out the correct form based on the county you live in.

**Please Note** It is important to fill out business information on the front, and personal financials on the back and to sign both sides. It is ok to take quality photos with your phone and send those if you don’t have access to a scanner (all of this information is kept confidential!)

STEP#2
Please write a narrative proposal outlining the proposed use of funds, see the outline and an example here
After we receive those two things we will reach out to schedule a meeting. These are Federal funds so there will be a few more next steps to get all the way through the process.

We will work with you every step of the way to get to the end goal of supporting your business with these grant funds!

***We have received an overwhelming response to this grant opportunity, we are busy processing the inquiries that we have already received. We will get back to you as soon as we are able. Thank you for your patience.

Act Now!
Grant applications will be reviewed and funding awarded on a rolling basis, as they are submitted to Hannah Grimes. When 50 eligible businesses have presented proposals outlining an allowable use of the funds and projects have been approved for the $2,500 Small Business COVID Grant, the program will end.

Join a group of entrepreneurs committed to making our local economy better and stronger.

Please email your form and narrative to our Program Director at covidgrant@hannahgrimes.com to determine eligibility and discuss the next steps.

* Funding for up to 50 small business grants comes to Hannah Grimes from the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program and is administered in New Hampshire by the NH Community Development Finance Authority
