Award winning artist Tim Campbell is a self-taught traditional folk artist. His work is in galleries throughout New England, Atlanta, San Francisco and also in the American Folk Art Museum in New York City and the Boston Tea Party Museum.
He resides in Keene, New Hampshire with his Jack Russell Terrier, Otis Campbell, named after the character on the Andy Griffith Show.
His work is both thought provoking and humorous. It has taken Folk Art to a new level. He was selected by “Early American Life” magazine as the 2010 Best Traditional Artisan & listed in The Directory of Traditional American Crafts.
His sculptural pieces are created entirely from recycled wood and metal. His painted furniture uses vintage pieces which gives them their primitive appearance. Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind.
His work is in private collections nationally and internationally.
The newly-renovated Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship offers its wall space free of charge to area artisans wanting display space. The 18-office space in downtown Keene has 25 picture rails installed and features a full kitchen in which we encourage visiting artists to host a gallery opening during their two-month exhibit. The Hannah Grimes Center also compiles a bi-monthly e-newsletter for artists and provides specialized workshops and programs for artists. Hannah Grimes Marketplace provides a year-round market, support and resources to local artisans and farmers.
