The Shopkeepers of Hannah Grimes Marketplace are the people who translate the mission and vision of the store into reality. Our shopkeepers are engaging, motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about serving our customers, our members and our community.
The Shopkeepers job is to:
Create a thriving marketplace for local products.
Support the business development of the people who make and grow those products.
Tasks to support the Marketplace Manager and operations of the store may include:
Sales and Marketing:
Acquire and build solid customer relationships.
Manage existing customer base.
Ensure effective merchandising and fixtures.
Help in finding new products and members for the store.
Help organize store events highlighting members and products.
Social Media daily updates.
Operations – ensure efficient, high-quality store operations.
Inventory: item cleaning, repair and maintenance; purchasing.
Maintain a clean, pleasant, interesting and enthusiastic store atmosphere.
POS system entry, sales transactions and reporting.
Finance & Cash Flow – responsible for maximizing and reporting financial performance.
Build the store’s financial performance.
Financial management, including cash and bank transactions.
Provide sales management reports and information as needed and required.
Members – engage members to contribute to the success of the store and member businesses.
Acquire and build solid vendor/member relationships.
Coordinate with Program Coordinator on HGC programs to build the business success of members.
Education Level: High School Graduate or equivalent.
